A section by Steve Brearton entitled, By the Numbers: The State of Early-Career Teaching. It shows statistics from the College's Transition to Teaching 2020.
The first section is titled Finding Balance and has three bar graphs showing that ten years ago, there were many more new teachers certified on an annual basis than teacher retirements. Today - and projecting into the near future - those numbers are in balance.

The next section is entitled Pandemic Disruption and has a bar graph showing the percentage of daily roster teachers ending the 2020 school year with no more assigned days after March school closures.
First-year: 75%
Second-year: 73%
Third- to fifth-year: 63%
The last section is entitled First-Year Successes and has four pie charts showing that despite the challenges, first-year teachers gave schools and colleagues high marks in 2020. The following are the percentages of first-year teachers assessing their experience as excellent or very good.
Overall teaching experience: 78%
Support from colleagues: 68%
Professional satisfaction: 67%
Optimism for professional future: 59%
