Member discounts

Don’t leave home without it

When travelling to another country or province, be sure to carry your College membership card. Many national and regional art galleries, museums and other tourist destinations offer discounts to teachers who show identification. While each organization will have its own policy regarding discounts, it definitely never hurts to ask.

In the US, many hotels and other businesses will provide a government rate if you show your card.

Of course, College members also receive discounts throughout Ontario – by asking at attractions and stores and when they order over the phone.

For a list of many of those offering discounts to College members, see Member discounts at www.oct.ca. The list is growing, so check it out!

Carry your card, don’t hesitate to ask and let us know where you receive discounts so other teachers can benefit.

If you know of organizations or businesses that might like to offer a discount to teachers, tell them they can reach out to more than 210,000 teachers across Ontario.

Contact lscarrow@oct.ca for information or to be added to our member discount page.
