New Manager of Information Systems and Policy and Research

Devon Stutt New Manager of Information Systems

Devon Stutt has joined the College staff as the new manager of Information Systems after heading up the information technology area for the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI) since 1994. He led a number of key projects including e-commerce initiatives, web-based course delivery, data warehousing and an integrated client administration system.

Stutt’s information technology experience extends over 25 years, with management and senior consulting roles at Toronto Hospital, Moore Business Forms and in the petroleum industry.

He will oversee the College’s information technology staff and consultants who keep hardware and software up to date and running. He will play a key role as the College expands online services to members that offer self-serve features.

"My vision is to use the synergy of people with technology to provide services that exceed members’ expectations," Stutt says. "Technology only works with people. It doesn’t work in isolation. I try to combine the people and the technology as a total solution."

Charlie Morrison New Manager of Policy and Research

Charlie Morrison has been named the College’s new manager of the Policy and Research Unit.

Morrison, who joined the College in late 1996, was the external relations officer in the unit and most recently served as its acting manager. Over the past five years, she worked with College stakeholders on many policy issues and carried out research and legislative analysis relating to most areas of the College’s mandate. She also provided liaison and support to the College Council.

Morrison obtained her Bachelor of Arts from Queen’s University and worked in a variety of organizational and legislative roles in the federal public sector.

"I’m looking forward to working with the Council and supporting the Council committees in developing well-researched policy that is meaningful to members and reflects the quality of teaching in Ontario," she says.

Before joining the College staff, Morrison worked as a consultant with the Ministry of Education in the Violence Prevention Secretariat and JobsOntario Training. She was outreach co-ordinator for the Minister of Education in 1994-95.
