Brian Rivait

Brian Rivait, a teacher with the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board for 16 years and a principal for the last 13, has been appointed by Council to replace Rick Victor as the elected representative in the principal/vice-principal category. The appointment was effective April 1st.

Rivait has been a Catholic Principals' Council of Ontario (CPCO) executive member and western region chair, as well as recording secretary for the Windsor-Essex Catholic Principals' and Vice Principals' Association. He served as a member of CPCO's issues in Catholic education committee and communications committee. He has also served on College accreditation panels and the additional qualifications working group and has attended Council meetings as CPCO's representative.

Rivait, the runner-up in the category during the last Council election, accepted the invitation to serve on Council to replace Rick Victor, who resigned because he is no longer working as a principal.
