2008 annual reportCollege report moves to Web to offer in-depth statistical information
The College launches its very first web-only annual report this June, providing
a richer and broader statistical picture of Ontario’s teaching profession
to our education partners and the public.
“Our former printed publication restricted our ability to provide the
kind of deep statistical information that many of our stakeholders and members
of the media want. With only one click of a mouse, they will find in-depth
statistics like those on teacher qualifications or the volume and sources of
teacher education of new teachers,” says Director of Corporate and Council
Services Richard Lewko.
The interactive online report also provides members with video messages from
Council Chair Don Cattani and former Registrar Brian P. McGowan, committee
reports, resources and links to articles published in Professionally Speaking.
The College’s past annual reports have always been available online,
but is the first time the publication will not be printed. The web-only report
is a more timely, efficient, environmentally friendly and cost-effective way
for the College to provide stakeholders, members of the public and the media
with access to current information on the teaching profession.
