 Council appoints Joe Jamieson, OCT, as Deputy Registrar
Council has appointed the College’s current Director of Investigations and
Hearings, Joe Jamieson, as Deputy Registrar effective September 14, 2009.
During his eight years at the College, Jamieson has taken on a wide variety
of leadership roles in three departments. Before serving as Director of Investigations
and Hearings, he was Director of Standards of Practice and Accreditation, Manager
of Intake and Hearings and a program administrator in both the Professional
Affairs and Executive Departments. He has worked closely with College Council
and has been deeply involved in strategic planning, regulatory review and reform,
the management of several budget portfolios and the supervision of professional
and support staff.
“I am delighted to be able to support our new Registrar, Michael Salvatori,
in implementing his vision of a professional regulatory body that continues
to inspire public confidence in the profession,” Jamieson said. “I’m really
gratified by the confidence that Council members representing the whole spectrum
of the profession have shown in me, and I look forward to working with them
in the public interest.”
“Joe’s extensive knowledge of self-regulation and strong relationships with
stakeholders, developed during his eight-year experience at the College, will
serve our profession well. I am very pleased to work alongside Joe in advancing
the work of the College,” said College Registrar Michael Salvatori.
Prior to joining the College in 2001, Jamieson was a curriculum consultant
and Intermediate teacher with the Halton Catholic DSB. He holds an MEd from
the University of Toronto, a BA from the University of Waterloo and a Diploma
in Secondary Education from McGill University, in addition to principal and
supervisory officer qualifications.

OCT, who retires in September.ps
Francine Dutrisac, OCT, to head Investigations and Hearings
 The College has appointed Francine Dutrisac to the position of Director of
Investigations and Hearings, effective September 14.
Dutrisac has been the College’s Director of French-Language Services since
August 2007. She has 31 years of experience as an educator and administrator.
Before coming to the College, she served as Superintendent of Education and
Human Resources for the Conseil scolaire de district catholique Centre-Sud
and as co-ordinator of Ontario’s Test provincial de compétence linguistique
(Secondary School Literacy Test) for Grade 10 at the Education Quality
and Accountability Office.
“Investigations and Hearings is an important portfolio at the College,” said
Dutrisac. “I look forward to showing sensitivity, fairness and leadership in
this critical area.”
Dutrisac also has 11 years of experience as a principal in French- and
English-language school boards at both the elementary and secondary levels.
“I am delighted that Francine Dutrisac will assume the Investigations and
Hearings portfolio,” said College Registrar Michael Salvatori. “She will bring
to this position great sensitivity and professionalism, as demonstrated by
her work at the senior level at the College and her many years in the field.
“This change in assignments reflects the College’s commitment to continuing
to integrate the work of its departments by allowing its senior leaders to
gain experience and share their expertise in a variety of departments. It also
shows that the College is continuing to enhance its bilingual capacity at a
senior level.”
Dutrisac is a graduate of Laurentian University’s teacher education program
and holds an MEd from the University of Toronto and a BA in social science
from York University. Her College registration number is 177692. |
