Pierrette Nadeau,
a former French teacher and guidance counsellor, resigned her seat on
College Council this summer. Nadeau has accepted a position with the Conseil
scolaire de district catholique du Nouvel-Ontario, where she will
co-ordinate a new assistance initiative for
children-at-risk.
Along with the happy anticipation of the challenges
of her new undertaking, Nadeau also expressed some regret at leaving the
Council.
"My experience at the College Council has been one of the most exciting
in my career," she said.
"Council meetings, various committee meetings and even training sessions
turned out to be occasions of personal growth for me and were always held
with
the utmost respect."
Nadeau was acclaimed as member in the Council position, French-language
Roman Catholic board - secondary.
