Addition to OISE's Master of Teaching (MT)

The Accreditation Committee has granted accreditation for a new area of concentration in the Intermediate/Senior divisions to be added to the Master of Teaching program of professional education offered by OISE/UT. This program leads to initial certification to teach in the Intermediate and Senior divisions combined with a Master of Teaching degree.

The accreditation period for this addition to the program is set to expire at the same time as the accreditation period for the Master of Teaching program itself – October 6, 2010.

Conditions removed

The Committee has also removed conditions attached to its April 2008 accreditation decision for the Junior/Intermediate concentrations in the concurrent and consecutive programs leading to a Bachelor of Education degree at Redeemer University College.

The conditions required the department of education at Redeemer to provide additional information about courses as they relate to the Ministry of Education curriculum. The committee issued its decision having determined that there was sufficient evidence provided to fully satisfy the conditions.

The Accreditation Committee’s full decisions are available on the College web site.
