Council meeting

Summary – March 26-27, 2009

At its March 26-27 meeting, College Council:

  • appointed Greg Anderson to fill the Council vacancy in the Supervisory Officers’ position
  • appointed current Deputy Registrar Lise Roy-Kolbusz as Interim Registrar and CEO, effective March 28 to May 31, 2009
  • appointed current Director of French-Language Services Francine Dutrisac as Acting Deputy Registrar, effective March 28 to May 31, 2009
  • approved amendments to Regulation 347/02, Accreditation of Teacher Education Programs
  • approved the report of the Ad Hoc Committee on a strategy to enhance the quality of College relationships with College members and College partners and directed the Registrar to share the committee’s report and the Registrar’s College mandate paper with stakeholders, review the cost to implement its recommendations and report back to the Ad Hoc Committee and the Executive Committee in May and to Council in June
  • approved setting the Reserve for Fee Stabilization at $0, the Reserve for Working Capital at $3,188,000, the Reserve for Stabilization of Facility Costs at $9,498,000 and fixing the Unappropriated Members’ Equity budget line at $500,000
  • accepted the December 31, 2008 audited consolidated financial statements of the College
  • reappointed PricewaterhouseCoopers as College auditor for the 2009 fiscal year
  • retained the requirement of member in good standing status for member eligibility to use the OCT/EAO professional designation.
