Elected Council positions

Regional positions

If you are a College member who is employed full-time (FT) or part-time (PT) as a classroom teacher by a district school board, school authority or private school and you live in one of the municipalities or areas specified for each region, you are eligible to run for one of the regional positions related to your place of residence.

Southeast Region –  PT/FT
Southeast Region – FT

You may run for a position in the Southeast region if you live in one of the regions of Ottawa, Prescott, Russell, Stormont, Dundas, Glengarry, Hastings, Lennox, Addington, Lanark, Renfrew, Leeds, Grenville, Frontenac or Prince Edward.

Southcentral Region – PT/FT
Southcentral Region – FT

You may run for a position in the Southcentral region if you live in one of the regions of Northumberland, Kawartha Lakes, Peterborough, Clarington, Simcoe, Haliburton, Muskoka, Dufferin, Wellington, Peel, Halton, Waterloo, Niagara or Hamilton.

Southwest Region – PT/FT
Southwest Region – FT

You may run for a position in the Southwest region if you live in one of the regions of Brant, Essex, Lambton, Elgin, Middlesex, Huron, Perth, Bruce, Grey, Oxford, Haldimand, Norfolk or Chatham-Kent.

Central Region – PT/FT
Central Region – FT

You may run for a position in the Central region if you live in one of the regions of Toronto, York or Durham (excluding Clarington, which is in the Southcentral Region).

Northwest Region – PT/FT
Northwest Region – FT

You may run for a position in the Northwest region if you live in one of the regions of Algoma, Cochrane, Kenora, Rainy River or Thunder Bay.

Northeast Region –  PT/FT
Northeast Region – FT

You may run for a position in the Northeast region if you live in one of the regions of Sudbury, Manitoulin, Timiskaming, Nipissing or Parry Sound.
