Accreditation

New Manager

Kevin Lowe has been appointed the new manager of the College's Accreditation Unit. Lowe joined the College in January 2005 as a program officer in Accreditation, supporting the work of panels who review faculty of education programs at Ontario universities and AQ programs offered by faculties and others.

"The cornerstone of our work will be our positive working relationships with faculties of education," says Lowe. "But it will also be important to work constructively with providers entering the field."

Lowe holds a Master of Education degree in Educational Administration from Brock University. He was principal of three schools in the Durham DSB.

Lowe was associated with the teacher pre-service programs at York, Queen's, OISE/UT and the University of Ontario Institute for Technology as a practicum host principal and guest lecturer.

He was program facilitator for the York University Principal's Qualification Program and an administrative officer in his board.

Lowe replaces Laura Sheehan, who managed the unit since January 1999.
