College News the Way You Want It

By popular demand, the College will send e-mail updates of important news to members who request the new service.

THE College is launching a convenient new e-mail service that will keep members up-to-date on what’s happening at the College and other interesting professional issues.

Members can sign up for the service when they register for the new online Members’ Area available through the College web site home page at www.oct.ca/en. The updates will provide information such as news about changes to provincial legislation, College activities and other developments significant to members.

“We’re going to use this electronic news service very sparingly,” says communications manager Philip Carter. “We’ve had many members tell us they want to receive College news releases, briefs and other key information. This service will allow us to provide this information occasionally at very low cost.”

If you don’t want to receive e-mail updates from the College you can simply make sure the box labeled “E-mail from the College” is unchecked in your member profile in the Members’ Area.

Other e-mail you might receive from the College is information related directly to your membership, such as lost passwords or responses to your questions. You don’t need to provide an e-mail address to the College at all, but you won’t be able to receive lost password messages or e-mail responses to specific questions if you don’t.

If you change your mind about receiving e-mail from the College you can always go back to the Members’ Area and change the status of your willingness to receive College e-mail, or supply a new e-mail address.

The College will not share your email address with any other person or organization for any reason.
