Francine Dutrisac named co-ordinator

francine-dutrisacLong-time educator Francine Dutrisac has been appointed to the position of French-Language Services Co-ordinator for two years, effective August 15, 2007.

Dutrisac is responsible for French-language services to members as well as the College's external relations unit.

“The College is committed to continuous improvement of services to its francophone members,” says College Registrar Brian McGowan. “We are pleased that Francine Dutrisac will be able to provide leadership and focus for these initiatives.”

Dutrisac comes to the College with 29 years of experience as an educator and administrator. She has served as Superintendent of Education and Human Resources for the Conseil scolaire de district catholique Centre-Sud and as co-ordinator of the Grade 10 Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test at the Education Quality and Accountability Office.

She was a school principal for 11 years in French- and English-language boards at both the elementary and secondary levels.

Dutrisac holds an MEd from the University of Toronto and a BA in social science from York University.

She is a graduate of Laurentian University's teacher-education program.
