Council member resigns
Jacques Tremblay, OCT, has resigned from his duties as a Council member and Chair of the College’s Discipline Committee.
On October 5 Council Chair Liz Papadopoulos, OCT, accepted Tremblay’s resignation and said: “He made this choice out of concern that the public perception of matters raised in the media could lead to an erosion of the public’s confidence in the College and its work. The College makes every effort to maintain public confidence in the teaching profession’s self-regulatory processes.”
Tremblay, who first filled an elected position on Council in 2004, was the French-Language Public Board – Elementary and Secondary representative.
