AppointmentsCarol Vinette-Hancharyk is new Controller
“I am so pleased and honoured to have been given this exciting opportunity to serve as Controller of this dynamic, innovative and value-driven organization,” she says. “I look forward to working with College members, the Council and education partners to preserve the College’s stellar financial track record and excellent reputation for fiscal integrity and accountability to its members.” Vinette-Hancharyk, a bilingual chartered accountant, brings to this role more than 20 years of financial leadership experience. She co-authored the organization’s information management vision and strategy, which established its IT initiatives; she provided direction, expertise and guidance for numerous initiatives that led to successful accreditation-quality audits and enhanced collaborative relationships with community partners and hospitals. From 1987 to 1994, prior to joining Erinoak in the mid-1990s, Vinette-Hancharyk was senior auditor and then audit manager with KPMG Peat Marwick Thorne. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from Laurentian University. She is familiar with the education sector through past experience as a school council member and treasurer at École élémentaire catholique Saint-Jean-Baptiste in Mississauga.
