French-language feminization

College leadership in translation recognized

Véronique Ponce at the American Translators Association conference

Professionally Speaking Associate Editor Véronique Ponce spoke about the College’s French-language feminization policy at the annual conference of the American Translators Association in Denver in October.

Ponce, who heads the College’s translation team, led the development of a 10-point strategy that ensures the use of inclusive language in all College publications while maintaining readability.

Many language professionals from various countries showed great interest in implementing some aspects of the College policy.
