Iris folding technique

Iris folding involves layering folded strips of paper to form a pattern reminiscent of the iris diaphragm of a camera lens. Cole asks students to create a numbered pattern on the front of their thank you cards. Taping down their choice of folded papers to cover each section comes next. Students select a shiny mirror-like paper to cover the iris and make it pop. The end result is a fun and interesting design for a lovely age-old gesture.
