Fun classroom projects

Some of the fun projects that Katie Cole's students enjoy include:

creating a modern comic strip of a scene from Julius Caesar, then photographing it and putting it into the Comic Life computer program
writing mash-up poetry by taking lyrics from favourite songs and from poems studied in class and combining them; students presented their mash-ups in a beatnik-café-style classroom setting complete with hot beverages
composing six-word memoirs, some of which are especially poignant, such as "At age 3 my life changed." and "No more mom jokes, it hurts."
